The NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship will take place in 2022, and the qualifying teams and opening round pairings have been formally confirmed by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

On Saturday, November 19, the competition featuring 48 teams will get begin with 24 opening round matches for the National Championship taking place on college campuses around the country.

Following the preliminary matches, the competition will continue in the final venue, the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, with three days of pool play beginning on November 30 and continuing until December 2.

The elimination bracket will begin on Saturday, December 3; the semifinals will be played on Monday, December 5; and the national champion will be crowned on Tuesday, December 6; the first serve for the championship match is scheduled for seven o’clock in the evening Central Standard Time (CST) on ESPN3.

There are a total of 48 competitors in this year’s tournament, 36 of whom qualified automatically, and 12 of whom were chosen at large. The teams who win or finish second in the regular season, those that win or finish second in the conference tournament, or those that are selected by the league itself are given automatic bids.

The remaining at-large bids were decided by a selection committee comprised of administrators and coaches from across the country. On Sunday, November 20, the final site pools will be selected, and they will be made public at 5 p.m. Central Standard Time.

At the final site of the 2022 NAIA Volleyball National Championship, which will take place in Sioux City, Iowa, the NAIA Network, which is the official video-streaming home of the organization, will show all matches live, with the exception of the championship match.
