LOS ANGELES, November 6, 2023 — Tennis Channel is promoting longtime marketing executive Neil Roberts to the position of vice president of marketing and brand partnerships. Based in the network’s Los Angeles-area headquarters, he will continue to report to Bill Simon, executive vice president, COO and CFO.

Roberts was most recently executive director of marketing and is one of the longest tenured executives at Tennis Channel. He first joined the network in 2005 as director of marketing. Roberts creates distinctive collaborations with media organizations, popular consumer brands and large-scale retailers to expand the channel’s reach and widen its potential viewer base. The list of partners he has brought to the network includes The Wall Street Journal, Saks Fifth Avenue, OpenTable, Wine.com, Best Western Hotels & Resorts, PEOPLE, Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining, Moet & Chandon, SiriusXM and the Empire State Building.

“Neil has been a driving force behind so many successful promotions we’ve executed at Tennis Channel,” said Simon.  “He has a unique ability to imagine campaigns with brands that reach similar target audiences, but with people who may not yet realize they’re tennis fans in waiting. His tie-ins with these partners have greatly expanded Tennis Channel awareness for close to two decades and we’re confident that he’ll continue to extend its reach in the years ahead.”

Prior to joining Tennis Channel, Roberts served as executive director of marketing for Promax, an entertainment-industry marketing-and-creative trade association, from 2003-2005. While there he was responsible for all tie-in partnerships for The National Television Academy of Arts & Sciences. Roberts’ efforts linked Promax with the academy’s high-profile News, Sports and Daytime Emmy Awards.

Roberts also developed similar programs while director, event marketing and business development, at entertainment-periodical Variety from 2000-2003, and as vice president, international marketing, for Roadshow Entertainment from 1993-1999.
