Three of the biggest art aficianados on the tennis tour recently attended one of the biggest art fairs in the world.

For the last 21 years, discerning art enthusiasts have flocked to Art Basel Miami Beach, which bills itself as "North America's most comprehensive international contemporary art fair" per Miami's official tourism website. From rubbing shoulders with famous faces including actress Cindy Crawford, to attending Wayne & Cynthia Boich's glitzy Art Basel party, Reilly Opelka, Venus Williams and J.J. Wolf were among thousands of attendees, which included professional art dealers, artists, collectors and amateur fans, who enjoyed modern and contemporary art at the festival from more than 270 galleries.

"Is it Basel or Basil?" joked Wolf on Instagram after the weekend was done, as the Cincinnati native joined fledgling art collector Opelka at multiple showings.

“The young guys, there are not too many into art,” Opelka once told friend Matthew Chevallard in ‘The Art of Collecting'. “So, I’ve been dragging some of my boys to galleries around the world.”

Williams was especially thrilled to combined "two of [her] favorite things," those being in Miami and enjoying art, and she co-hosted an event with Pace Gallery during the weekend.

"Pace Gallery is one of my favorite galleries because of the work that they do," she said. Williams also co-hosted a dinner in partnership with the gallery earlier this year for the preservation of the Nina Simone House.

"I love being in the community because it helps me learn. It's nice to talk to people about what you love, learn things about new artists, old artists, all those things. ... This was my second event with Pace, and I can't wait for the third."

Art Basel Miami Beach was held from Dec. 8-10, and earlier in the week, Serena Williams also joined in the festivities at the event's VIP preview.

Art Basel Miami Beach is one of four similar art festivals that are held worldwide. The others take place in Hong Kong, Paris and the founding fair in Basel, Switzerland.
