Marta Kostyuk reveals Wilson designed her wedding dress, husband's suit

Wilson's head-to-toe sponsorship deal with Marta Kostyuk isn't limited by the confines of the tennis court. The Ukrainian revealed Friday that the retailer also designed her wedding dress.

Kostyuk, who married in Cyprus on Nov. 1, detailed in an Instagram post how the collaboration came to life, from concept sketches to wedding day. The world No. 39 wed in a flowing white dress tastefully adorned with flowers, with a plunging neckline in the front, a double straps over a partially-open back, and tuile train.

"Wilson has always supported my dreams on the court, but my relationship with the brand goes far beyond tennis," she wrote on Instagram to accompany detailed photos of the dress. "A big shout out and huge thank you to the talented team there that worked around my demanding tour schedule to make another dream come true; a custom, one-of-a-kind wedding dress that turned out even more amazing than I could have imagined."

The brand also designed the suit that her husband wore to say "I do," she added.

In January ahead of the Australian Open, Wilson signed Kostyuk to the brand's first head-to-toe deal for apparel, footwear and racquets, and Wilson's global general manager Jason Collins said that the brand "look[ed] forward to not only expanding Wilson’s impact in the sport of tennis, but also supporting her as she grows her competitive edge and personal brand."

“What attracted me to Wilson is that it makes me feel authentic,” Kostyuk told Baseline this spring. “It makes me feel like I’m the only one wearing something, which makes me feel special.”

This year, Kostyuk made a statement by winning her first WTA singles title in Austin, Texas, in February clad in a red, Wilson dress—one of a multitude of pieces that she wore this year that was designed with her feedback.
